On a hot late summer morning in Utah, I caught this monster drop tine buck as he made his way back to his to day bed. The most amazing thing to me about this guy was his massive body--he probably weighed 350 pounds. He was huge! I love bucks with "squarish, boxy framed" antlers like this guy.

I only got a couple images of this wild monster before he took off. Photographing deer like this is hard work. But, at times, photographing mule deer can be days of boredom filled with seconds of excitement.
