I was on a trip to one of my favorite places in Colorado with a group of friends when we spotted this truly unique monster mule deer. I am always in awe when I see a buck like this. It is exciting to watch and photograph these monster deer.

The uniqueness of each mature mule deer rack is what keeps me wanting to photograph more of these illusive animals. A buck's antlers are his signature and as he ages, and his antlers contnue to grow, they become his trademark. If a buck has plenty of food, a place to hide and the luxury of living a long life, he will become the most prized and sought after big game in North America.
